What we do

Ultrasound examination provides essential information about the causes and best treatment of many gynaecological problems.

Scans are helpful in the assessment of women who are experiencing pelvic pain, menstrual problems or difficulties in becoming pregnant. Ultrasound examination is particularly valuable for the diagnosis and management of various complications of early pregnancy.

The service is led by internationally recognised expert in gynaecology ultrasound Mr Davor Jurkovic, and includes a multidisciplinary team of highly regarded specialists.

The service integrates ultrasound examination into clinical care, with the emphasis on one-stop clinics and the conservative management of many benign gynaecological conditions.

We offer ultrasound scanning, general gynaecological consultations and a number of minor procedures which can be safely performed in an outpatient environment, without the use of general anaesthesia.

Diagnostics

Our centre uses the most advanced, top of the range ultrasound equipment, which also contributes to the quality of our diagnostic service.  By combining our specialist team’s clinical and ultrasound skills, we are able to identify the likely cause of symptoms in the majority of women attending our clinics promptly and accurately, thus:

  • Reducing the number of additional tests women require to reach a diagnosis
  • Avoiding delays in the formulation of an effective management plan
  • Lowering the overall costs of treatment
  • Minimising disruption to women’s social and professional lives.

Our services include:

  • Transvaginal ultrasound
  • Transabdominal ultrasound
  • Two and three dimensional scans

The equipment complies with international safety standards for use in early pregnancy.
