Mr Pavlos Panteliadis is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at Guy’s and St. Thomas Hospitals. Mr Panteliadis’ practice consists of complex spinal surgery and covers the whole spectrum of adult spinal pathologies, including degenerative, tumour, infections, trauma and deformity. {{ label }}
He has both orthopaedic and neurosurgical training, which allows him to have a comprehensive understanding of spinal pathologies and their management. He incorporates techniques like minimally invasive spinal surgery, patient education and preparation to achieve enhanced recovery and satisfactory outcomes for his patients.
Mr Panteliadis trained as a Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon and subsequently sub-specialized in Spinal Surgery. He completed the mixed orthopaedic and neurosurgical fellowship between Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
He has also completed the spinal fellowships at Oxford university Hospital and Salford Royal NHS Foundation trust. He trained in the management of the whole spectrum of spinal pathologies in the adult and paediatric population including deformity, spinal trauma, spinal infection surgery, spinal tumour surgery, and degenerative spinal surgery.
He acquired further experience in the management of adult spinal deformity by attending the Spinal Department at the Hospital for Special Surgery, in New York, United States. He also gained a Master of Science at University College London in Sports & Exercise Medicine during his training. Mr Panteliadis is actively involved in research and has published widely in a number of peer-reviewed medical journals.
He has presented at national and international meetings. He has affiliation with King’s College London Medical School and is actively involved in teaching other doctors, nurses and allied health professionals
