Miss Aimee Di Marco is an Endocrine Surgeon at King Edward VII's Hospital and one of only three Consultant Surgeons in the UK’s original, largest department of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgery at the Hammersmith Hospital. Her practice consists exclusively of thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal disease. {{ label }}
After graduating from the University of Cambridge and Guy’s, King’s & St. Thomas’ School of Medicine with Distinction, she trained in General Surgery in London before specialising in Endocrine Surgery.
This included a fellowship at the Hammersmith Hospital and the prestigious ‘T.S. Reeve’ Fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia.
Aimee was awarded the ASGBI Gold Medal for the best performance in the Intercollegiate Examination for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons.
She also holds a PhD in surgical technology from Imperial College, London.

I have performed minimally invasive thyroid/parathyroid surgery, laparoscopic and retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomies.
I also have an interest in the use of surgical technology and, as such, have researched the use of intraoperative fluorescence in thyroid/parathyroid surgery.
I use a nerve monitoring system in all patients undergoing neck endocrine surgery and intraoperative parathyroid surgery where appropriate.
During my training I was an Academic Clinical Lecturer for the National Institute for Health Research. I have co-authored papers on multiple aspects of endocrine surgery and I continue to be actively engaged in research. Current projects include:
