Professor Domenico Valenti DMChir, PhD, FRCS, FRCS(Ed), FEBVS studied Medicine in Italy and qualified in 1991. Mr. Valenti completed his surgical training in Italy, and the UK at St Mary's Hospital London and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. {{ label }}
In 1999 he was appointed Junior Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Mauriziano Hospital in Turin Italy.
He was appointed Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College Hospital in 2007.
He is an Honorary Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the National Orthopedic Hospital in Stanmore and Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital. He has extensive experience in all types of vascular surgery, specialising in carotid surgery, aortic aneurysm repair (open and endovascular), lower limb reconstructive surgery, varicose vein surgery (open and radio frequency ablation VNUS) and vascular access for haemodialysis.
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeon of England and Edinburgh and of the European Board of Vascular Surgery and he is a member of the council of the section of surgery of the Royal Society of Medicine.
He is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and regularly teaches at King’s Guy’s and St.Thomas Medical School. In 2010 he was nominated President of the Vascular Access Society of Britain and Ireland and he is a member of many vascular surgical societies in the UK and Europe.
He is the medical advisor for surgery in the All Party Parliamentary Kidney Group.
In 2020 he obtained the Italian Scientific Qualification to the position of University Professor of Vascular Surgery.
I have supported King’s College Hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic.
I am a Professor of Vascular Surgery, and I have performed the most carotid surgeries in London for 8 consecutive years. I am the past president of the GB and Ireland Vascular access society, and am the medical advisor for surgery in the All Party Parliamentary Kidney Group.
I have been awarded the European board of Vascular Surgery, King’s College Hospital Hero.
